The Christian Community Development Association Batăr is a non-profit organization founded in 2008, with the mission of supporting the spiritual and educational development of children in our community.
For over 17 years, we have been alongside the little ones, providing them with a safe environment where they can grow, learn and discover the world around them. We firmly believe that every child deserves a chance at a better future, and that education and Christian values are the foundation on which that future is built.
In 2009, we formed the first class of children, divided into a younger and older group — the moment that marked the official beginning of our educational activity. Since then, step by step, we have grown together with our children.

Twice a week, children participate in age-appropriate Bible studies. Through stories, discussions and interactive activities, the little ones discover the teachings of the Bible in an accessible and relevant way for their daily lives.
We know that a hungry child cannot learn. That is why, twice a week, we provide a warm meal to all children in our programs. For many of them, this is the only substantial meal of that day.
We have organized several excursions designed to broaden the children's horizons. One of the most memorable was the visit to Moskovits Castle in Arpășel — an unforgettable experience through which the children discovered local heritage.
Every summer we organize camps dedicated to children, where educational activities blend with fun and adventure, maintaining their cultural and spiritual development even during vacation.
We prepare children for various cultural events. Through creative workshops and preparation sessions, we help them develop their artistic abilities and the confidence to express themselves in front of an audience.
Over the years we have received generous support from individuals and organizations from Romania and abroad — food, sweets and goods that brought smiles to children's faces and eased the burden on families.
Currently, the association operates thanks to the dedication of four volunteers who offer their time, energy and love for the children in the community. Each volunteer brings something unique to the team — whether it is pedagogical experience, creativity, or simply a sincere desire to do good.
Our team is small, but united and motivated by the belief that even the smallest act of kindness can change a life.
